Independence Day Celebrations at Duck’s Lake
On August 24 and 25, Duck’s Lake, located at 200a Stryiska St. in Lviv, will host events to celebrate the Independence Day of Ukraine.
During the two days, guests will be able to take part in a variety of cultural and entertainment events. The location, famous for its picturesque embankment and well-known residents, has prepared a lot of interesting things for the whole family.
On Saturday, August 24, the celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine at Duck’s Lake will start at 10:00 with a raffle of exclusive gifts from Ultrashop. From August 24 on September 3, a photo zone will be located in front of Ultrashop. To take part in the draw, visit the event, take a photo in front of a huge Ultrashop bag and share it on Instagram, tagging the Duck’s Lake and Ultrashop pages. On September 4, the winner will be chosen to receive the Love Moschino bag.
And if you love books, be sure to visit the garage sale of books from the Old Lion Publishing House, which will last from 12:00 to 20:00. It’s a great opportunity to buy books at bargain prices and add some interesting books to your home library. Also, from 14:00 to 15:00, a children’s master class will be held under the name “Travelling book. Chernihiv”. This is a special event for the youngest guests, which gives an opportunity to get to know one of the oldest cities of Ukraine — Chernihiv.
From 14:00 to 22:00, board games from Rebernia and Grill Lab will be held, which will be a great opportunity to have fun with friends or family. Everyone will be able to join the game process and enjoy the pleasant company.
Throughout the day, gastronomic zones will be open between the Milk Cafe and Faini Liody. From 15:00 to 21:00, guests will be able not only to enjoy the exquisite sparkling wine at the Impero Resto Prosecco location, but also to become part of an exciting performance that will take place from 18:00 to 20:00 near the Egersund Seafood location. From 15:00 to 21:00, a pop-up with natural wine and seasonal fruits from KREDENS CAFE awaits you. You will also have the opportunity to taste delicious dishes with a cultural chef from the Kultura Rest throughout the day from 14:00 to 20:00.
Also, at the Independence Day celebration at Duck’s Lake, you can enjoy a real BBQ from Grill Lab. Their masters use an advanced smoker, in which the meat is cooked for up to 14 hours, making it tender and flavorful. Thanks to their experience at festivals, you will be able to experience a taste that will remain in your memory for a long time.
Seafood lovers will be able to sample dishes from the Egersund Seafood food truck, which will be open from 16:00 to 21:00. Argentine grill straight from the fire will complement the celebration atmosphere and add a special flavor to the event. From 14:00 to 21:00, at the Independence Day celebration at Duck’s Lake, you can indulge in delicious dishes of Black Sea mussels, French oysters, octopus or tiger prawns, paired with prosecco from Bar Mushly. This is an ideal opportunity to try fresh seafood with friends or family while enjoying the holiday on the lake.
The Duck’s Lake location also offers visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of true Lviv flavor by tasting the Piana Vyshnia. The drink, known for its sweet and rich flavor, has become a symbol of hospitality and warmth. Today, the tincture continues to be an unchanged attribute of festive feasts and warm evenings.
Another interesting activity at Duck’s Lake is movie screenings from the Lviv Film Center. From 16:00 to 20:00 there will be a screening of cartoons and films of Ukrainian production. The screenings will take place near a metal sculpture located at the intersection of Stryiska and Naukova streets. The sculpture consists of four arms that together form the letters “LVIV”.

Also, from 18:00 to 20:00, the Museum of Science will organize creative zones for children, where the youngest guests will be able to learn new things and have fun. Children will be able to take part in scientific experiments and creative activities.
At the end of the day, from 19:00 to 21:00, a music set of vinyl records from Made in Ukraine and Gooch Brawn & Chain Bro will take place, adding a special charm to the holiday atmosphere.
On Sunday, August 25, the business embankment will continue to delight its guests. After all, the celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine at Duck’s Lake will continue! The celebration will proceed with delicious cocktails, a book sale, an Ultrashop giveaway and an Argentine grill. Children’s master classes from the Museum of Science will be held again from 18:00 to 20:00, and gastronomic zones will be open. A board game competition will continue near Rebernia.
At 15:00, the festive day will be complemented by a program of dance jams at Bad Boy. Hip-hop, breakdance and freestyle masters will perform there until 19:00. After that, you’ll be able to enjoy incendiary Latin dances — salsa and bachata. And don’t forget that you will be able to enjoy not only dancing, but also visit our residents for delicious cocktails.
From 18:00 to 20:00, the Old Lion Publishing House will host an evening of painting called “Master Class of Meditative Paintings with an Artist”. Pre-registration is available at the bookstore-cafe at the Duck’s Lake location. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to a vehicle for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the end of the event, you will receive a finished painting on canvas measuring 25×30 cm.
The celebration will end with music on the pier performed by Nazar INSHYI. For two hours, from 19:00 to 21:00, Nazar will perform both original compositions and well-known melodies, but in his own arrangement.
The festive events at Duck’s Lake will not only provide guests with entertainment, but also have a charitable component. During the events, you can join the fundraiser for a pickup truck for the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. The fundraising vehicle will be placed on the territory of Duck’s Lake, and visitors can make their contributions directly on the spot. The pickup truck will be equipped with QR codes leading to accounts at Monobank and Privatbank for easy transfer of funds. In addition, a metal box made from an ammo box will be installed for those who want to donate cash. This fundraising event is organized jointly with the Everything will be Ukraine Charity Fund. This is a great opportunity to combine celebration with good deeds and support our defenders.
